Clavis Actuarial Consulting was established in July 2008 by Nasir Whaind as a trading name to launch a solo consultancy career. At that time Nasir was a permanent resident of Pakistan and so initially operated out of Lahore.

In August 2010 Nasir relocated to the UK and formally registered Clavis Actuarial Consulting there. Clavis has been operating out of UK since then.

Nasir has established himself as an expert of the Asian, African and Middle Eastern markets where he has been involved with setting up of greenfield life operations, launching health insurance schemes, analysing and advising private, public sector and national pension programmes. He has gained intimate knowledge of operational and regulatory environments, IT systems and accounting standards.

Currently the core activities of Clavis relate to assignments sponsored by international donor agencies in different regions.
